Barista
Skilled baristas for cafes, restaurants, and corporate environments.
What a Barista does
A barista prepares espresso-based and filter coffee to a consistent recipe, keeps the machine dialled in through the day, and serves customers at the counter. In corporate settings the same person often runs the pantry and the executive floor service.
Day to day
- Pull espresso and steam milk to a consistent standard
- Dial in the grinder and keep extraction on spec through the day
- Serve customers at the counter and take payment
- Clean and maintain machines, grinders, and the bar area
- Track coffee, milk, and consumable stock
What we screen for
- One or more years behind a commercial espresso machine
- Can produce consistent milk texture and latte art
- Understands grind, dose, and extraction basics
- Friendly counter manner and working English
